We take pride in our dedicated coaches committed to fostering a positive and enriching experience for every participant in our Flag Football, 7v7 Football, and Tackle Football programs. Our coaches bring a wealth of knowledge, passion for the sport, and a genuine enthusiasm for helping young athletes thrive on and off the field.

Are you committed to being a positive role model and shaping the next generation of young athletes? The Gainesville-Haymarket Youth Football League is seeking football coaches dedicated to developing players' football and life skills. We believe in fostering an environment where players learn to be competitive, handle conflict, and face adversity healthily and productively.

OUR APPROACH

  • Positive Experience: Our goal is to help players have a positive and enjoyable football experience, fostering a love for the game.
  • Competitive Spirit: While we aim for success on the field, winning games is not our top priority. Our focus is on the holistic development of our young athletes.

FLAG FOOTBALL
Our Flag Football coaches focus on creating a fun and inclusive environment where young athletes can learn the fundamentals of the game, develop their skills, and build a love for Football that will last a lifetime. We prioritize safety while fostering a sense of camaraderie among players.

7v7 FOOTBALL
Our 7v7 Football program's coaches bring a wealth of tactical knowledge and strategic expertise. They guide players through more advanced aspects of the game, refining their techniques and helping them understand the intricacies of team dynamics. Our 7v7 coaches are passionate about unlocking each athlete's full potential under their guidance.

  • 7v7 FOOTBALL INFORMATION

    • Dates: The season runs from mid-to-late March through early June.

    • Ages: Our 7v7 program is for Ages 10U, 12U, and 14U. Please visit the 7v7 page for more details.

    • Affiliation: The Gainesville Grizzlies host their own 7v7 league. Some divisions may also have teams from the Northern Virginia Youth Football League “NVYFL” participating.

TACKLE PROGRAM
Safety is paramount in our Tackle Football program, and our coaches are well-versed in the latest techniques and protocols. They focus on building a solid foundation in tackling, blocking, and overall football strategy. Our Tackle Football coaches inspire confidence, instill discipline, and prepare players for the challenges and triumphs of competitive play. Each coach must pass a background check and complete the USA Football – Youth Online Tackle Certification.
